White the release notes do make mention of what I see on the clirr:check command line:
[INFO] --- clirr-maven-plugin:2.8:check (default-cli) @ commons-lang3 --- [INFO] artifact org.apache.commons:commons-lang3: checking for updates from central [INFO] Comparing to version: 3.4 [ERROR] 7012: org.apache.commons.lang3.time.DateParser: Method 'public boolean parse(java.lang.String, java.text.ParsePosition, java.util.Calendar)' has been added to an interface [ERROR] 7012: org.apache.commons.lang3.time.DatePrinter: Method 'public java.lang.Appendable format(long, java.lang.Appendable)' has been added to an interface [ERROR] 7012: org.apache.commons.lang3.time.DatePrinter: Method 'public java.lang.Appendable format(java.util.Date, java.lang.Appendable)' has been added to an interface [ERROR] 7012: org.apache.commons.lang3.time.DatePrinter: Method 'public java.lang.Appendable format(java.util.Calendar, java.lang.Appendable)' has been added to an interface [INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [INFO] BUILD FAILURE [INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ So that is good. BUT there is no Clirr report on the site. Not a blocker. The release notes do not mention that Java 7 is required to build. So far I know that the clirr:check goal requires Java 7.
