JexlOptions is introduced in 3.2, this class has not been released yet. I understand your reaction but I believe it is not warranted in this case.
I also believe 'internal' classes are clearly out of the API contract - they are documented as such. If you believe there are already showstoppers that warrant a package change, aka jexl4, I should not even try releasing 3.2; please let me know.
