Hi Gary,

Thank you, I am interested in a release of the Compress project 🙂.

Best regards,
Mehmet

Hello Mehmet,

The components in the Apache Commons project have independent release
cycles. Some are directly related, like DBCP and POOL. Release candidates
are prepared based on community interest and maintainer's availability.

Voting on a release candidate takes at least three days to allow PMC
members and the public at large to review at their convenience.

For example, we've seen (here, GitHub) asks for releasing Crypto and JXPath
so I expect we (I) will create release candidates for these in April. I
also expect Lang and IO to have releases soon.

If you want a Compress release for example, that's also on my radar, just
voice your interest here 😉

Gary
