One detail is that Commons geometry is Java 8. Some of the features from
the OP seem to be more cutting edge and may require a higher JVM version.

I think this would require some comparison of what is in the SIS project
and how it overlaps the Commons Geometry (CG) component. I am not the best
person to do this as I am not familiar with **all** the CG codebase.
