COMMONSXML-15[2] (allowing users to pass their own readers through SAXSource) is a design choice and a user needs to parse a trusted document using the full power of XML. However, COMMONSXML-14[1] (preventing users from disabling FSP at the wrapper level) looks like an excellent idea and I would love a PR that implements it.
