Hi

I want to contribute to the ASF Project. Though I went through the Apache
Mentoring Programme and saw the list of the proposed projects, but I would
like
to first take up some small tasks which familiarize me with the Apache Code
base and other related activities.

My Skills:
1) I am good at C, C++ and Qt 4.6.
2) I know Java but haven't done any major development work with it yet but I
am brushing up my skills with it.
3) JSP (Intermediate Level)

My motivation for contributing to ASF: Sometimes back, I thought of taking
up a project to build something like Apache Tomcat. At that time I was not
much aware of the FOSS philosophy. But in GSoC 2010 with KDE I got
introduced to my first FOSS development experience. and hence I got
motivation to try and contribute to the Apache Project.
In addition to that, I have been using Tomcat and sometimes Ant for 8 months
now (user level) and would really like to go ahead and be at the development
end.

Can anyone mentor me or guide me through this ?

Thanks

Yours Sincerely
Siddharth Srivastava
