I recently updated the trademark policy for getting approval for events - see http://www.apache.org/foundation/marks/events.html What would the goal be, from an Apache perspective? Do we have people in India (or willing to travel) to make this happen? Are you hoping to make a case for some financial support for Apache representation? What support do you want from the ASF (other than financial)? Note we've just started to think about providing an Event in a Box to support activities such as this. It's currently empty so even brainstorming around this now would be valuable even if you decide not to go ahead with it.
