There are several ways available to submit code updates (patches) to ASF projects. Some projects use Git, some use Apache Subversion (svn). For an overview of all projects see [1]. Best way to find out what a project uses is to contact the project, you intend to provide code updates for, through their user mailing list (see the website of that project).
