Hello Apache Committers and PMC Members (blindcopied) --I hope you are
all well.

Those attending ApacheCon and Apache: Big Data next month are invited to
participate in two sessions to help bring additional visibility to your
projects:

1) Tuesday, 16 May at 11.05AM
SESSION: Gaining Insight Into Your Apache Project with Snoot - Daniel
Gruno, Quenda

Many of you know Daniel from the ASF Infrastructure team and VP of
Apache STeVe. His company, Quenda, provides an analytics solution called
Snoot that provides all sorts of nifty metrics on Apache projects. The
ASF has a subscription to Snoot to enable our PMCs to track progress in
their code and communities. See Snoot in action at
http://status.apache.org/ (“Commit Activity”); learn more at
https://www.snoot.io/ . The session is open to all conference attendees.

2) Wednesday, 17 May beginning at 10.30AM
TRAINING: I'll be holding Media & Analyst Training again FREE OF CHARGE
to ASF Committers. Class size is limited; priority will be provided for
PMC members and podlings.

Here's what's on offer:

10.30AM-1PM Session I --QUICKSTART-- Intro to ASF Marketing & Publicity
and general communications tools/guidelines for Apache projects.
Litmus-test your messaging and course-correct as needed. Become a more
effective spokesperson!

1PM LUNCH [attendees on their own]

2-3.30PM Session II --FLESH IT-- "Tell me what I need to know". Craft,
control, and bridge messages and gain confidence during the interviewing
process. Present your position clearly and become more persuasive to
effectively target editors and influence the analyst community. Practice
with technical journalist Susan Hall of The New Stack.

NOTE: these are hands-on training sessions --class size is limited to
ensure that everyone has a chance to speak and interact with fellow
participants. Priority will be given to PMC members and/or project
marketing teams. Due to the limited class size, we are unable to
accommodate "observers" this time around. If you are attending, you must
be prepared to participate!

Several individuals have taken this training multiple times over the
years. I strongly recommend you sign up early, as space fills up very
quickly.

TO SIGN UP: please email me at <s...@apache.org>, stating which project
you are affiliated with.

Those of you who are unable to attend the sessions on Wednesday but
would like to meet one-on-one may indicate such via the registration
form.

Thanks for your interest. I look forward to seeing you in Miami next
month!

Warmly,
Sally
