Hi! We have been invited to participate again in the OpenExpo Ebook. We had a bunch of people who participated in last year's edition and it would be great if we could make it again this year.
If anyone is interested in participating and write a bit about the use and trends of open source, please let me know. You'll find the details attached below. Deadline is pretty tight, the texts should be submitted by *November 26th*. Apologies for the short notice, it's entirely my fault. I'm a bit overloaded recently and the email from the OpenExpo organizers got stuck in my reading queue for longer than I'd like. If anyone wants to participate let me know! Thanks, Ignasi --- We are preparing a new edition of the ebook on Trends - now 2019 - in the Open Source world and, of course, we want you to be part of it. We´d like you to participate and also to recommend profiles from the Foundation for us that you think could be interested in collaborating. I leave all the information for you to look at it and tell me something: This time, the ebook will gather the points of view of 100 professionals of the sector and we want to constitute it as a reference document. It is the third consecutive year in which this publication is made - with the status and trends in Free and Open Source. (You can -re-consult here the 2018 edition <https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cS8y5dzZPo4P0DD6-iKEo4lMng0Lp438/view>) Last year it reached more than 10,000 downloads and it is also promoted at the event. We would like very much to count on your participation this year. What do I need in particular? - The texts - between 200 and 250 words - that reflect your point of view on the use of Free and Open Source in your sector and three trends that you think will mark the future of it in 2019. I leave you below a capture of the index of the ebook with all the sections and sectors so you can choose which one to participate in. We will recommend you to participate in the Global Visions sector but anyway, if you prefer another one, that's perfect too. - Autor photo, with good resolution. - Autor name, as you want it to appear in the publication. - Position. - Company. - Twitter and LinkedIn user. I would need to have it all by the latest on *11/26*. These are the sections/sectors. In addition to the ones you will see in the image we will include two more you will see below: [image: IMG_8536.PNG] - Global Visions of the future. With more global contributions that talk about the future in the world of FOSS. - OpenCompanies. For more transversal contributions on the use of FOSS in the processes of digital transformation in companies. The initiative has two main objectives: - Promote the use of FOSS and comment a little -by sectors- what uses are being given and what are the main trends that mark the future. - Constitute the document as a reference in the sector. Tell me what you think and if we count on you :)
