Reading somewhat between the lines here it appears that you're talking
specifically about the Apache web server. (Apache is a Foundation
hosting 300+ projects, of which the web server is just one.)
To participate in the Apache web server community, you show up and begin
participating. There's no particular barrier to entry.
The following are the primary places where this can happen, depending on
your particular area of interest.
As a user: https://lists.apache.org/list.html?us...@httpd.apache.org
As a developer: https://lists.apache.org/list.html?d...@httpd.apache.org
IRC: #httpd on irc.libera.chat

Hey, I work with a company that manages large numbers of websites, previously
we have never had any issues connecting Industrial portals with brand
recognition and visibility until recently. Google with their SEO has changed
everything apparently. So what we used to be able to accomplish with simple
tags and redirects has started causing massive issues between mobile and
desktop. Amp has changed everything and our customers do not want to rely
solely on apps as they are often not used. Now we have the certain departments
that use cloud based data collection screaming at us even though it is not are
fault. The number of disparate systems they run is immense. We ourselves are
adapting, Flask applications for instance need to use apache as it is a
maintence nightmare otherwise. These are dysfunctional systems and ultimately
if cyber cannot communicate with ISO standards, and data analysis departments
then we are in big trouble as the data teams will likely reduce cyber measures.
These plants have to run extremely smoothly, shipping logistics and everything
has to be coordinated. Ultimately with laws and regulations and pure common
since when dealing with these sites we need to provide security and DNS
security above all else and we will not compromise. I am emailing you partially
because we are already a member of the nginx community where we have access to
slack. I simply do not have the time right now to read through the steps needed
to do this in Apache. If their is a way to tell me how to do this quickly that
would be wonderful otherwise we will probably transition to NGINX as we can
have the dev teams at a few of our customers make that transition. Our customer
base is worldwide and is developing this infrastructure as we speak. The
entire defense industry has components for vehicles, land, sea, and air. The
plants we work with are not under any regulations yet, but they are in the
works. Hopefully you can help me get access, as the industry itself is
completely unprepared for the changes that are taking place.
Thanks,
