Hi, folks, We’re 24 days from FOSDEM and I’ve not seen much in the way of actual planning. Please forgive me if something is happening somewhere outside of my view, but it occurred to me in the wee hours of this morning that everyone might be assuming that someone else is handling it. Please speak up if I’m assuming incorrectly here.
We have a stand, and we need to staff it. If you are willing to work a shift (or more!) please indicate this on this spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ke0W421toExf7XupAxuzHNjRpcRo0HUfvmbv9lkZ3k4/edit?usp=sharing We would like if there are AT LEAST 2 people for each time slot. Similarly, it’s best if there are not more than 4 for a time slot, since space is very limited, and we don’t want a crowd of ASF folks making it impossible for visitors to approach. When you sign up, please indicate what project you will be representing. This is not mandatory, but if we can say to a visitor “The representative of Apache Tika will be here at 13:00”, that will be very helpful. Please feel free to bring demos. We have a sticker order going in that will be representative of a wide range of ASF projects. If you think your project might not be represented, please speak up here, now, but understand that we have left this to the last minute, and so there’s a chance that you won’t make it into the order. Please feel free to bring your own stickers, but they MUST respect project/foundation brands, and they should be for ASF projects, not third-party projects, companies, your personal hobbies, or your favorite band.
