Hi,

I’m Quinton, a CSBA undergraduate at UC Riverside. I’m trying to become a
more consistent open source contributor, and Apache stood out because there
are so many different project communities rather than one codebase to
choose from.

My strongest areas right now are Python, C++, web development, automation,
data work, and GitHub. I’m also building a geospatial event intelligence
and route optimization project. I enjoy backend and tooling work, but I’m
open to documentation, testing, or smaller issues if that is a better way
to become useful to a community first.

I’ve been going through the newcomer material, but with the number of
Apache projects I thought it would be useful to introduce myself here too.
Are there one or two active projects you would recommend for someone with
that background who is willing to contribute consistently?

I’m happy to do the homework and learn the project rather than expecting
someone to walk me through everything.

Thanks,
Quinton Wu
