Hi all, Following up on the members@ thread, here's a rough idea.
An official page where the ASF recognizes the catalysts nominated by each ALC chapter each year. A catalyst is someone who helps new people become real contributors to ASF projects. Why: 1. It gives ALCs a stronger connection to the foundation. 2. It's cheap. Just a page listing each year's nominees. 3. Each ALC sets its own rules, since motivations differ by region. The point is to praise, not to rank. The only shared requirement would be a public link to the nominee's work and a one-line reason. Possible extras: 1. Explore a positive link with the Community Over Code TAC. 2. Small gifts for nominees. ALC Taipei can prepare this year's nominations as a first example, and I'm happy to draft the page and send a patch for ComDev to review. Thoughts welcome. Best, Chia-Ping
