Art World commented on CB-1957:
-------------------------------
I am using the following childbrowser plugin in my app.
https://github.com/alunny/ChildBrowser
I open external urls which have youtube videos in them.
My issue is that, when I close the child browser, I continue to hear the sound
of the playing video, as it is still playing somewhere in the background.
I have applied all the solutions which I found here and also on other forums.
Even, I also tried with loading a blank page before closing the childbrowser:
/*START*
* Closes the dialog
*/
private void closeDialog() {
if (dialog != null) {
this.webview.loadUrl("any-balnk-page" ; );
dialog.dismiss();
}
}
/* END */
And also with killing that particular thread. But, the issue is still there.
If someone facing similar problem, resolved it, please help.
> InAppBrowser - video/audio does not stop playing when browser is closed

> Repro:
> 1. Load a YouTube video (with audio track) in the InAppBrowser, play it
> 2. Close InAppBrowser
> Expected result:
> Audio stops playing
> Actual result:
> Audio continues playing
> The simple fix is to loadHTMLString:nil on the InAppBrowser UIWebView when
> the view disappears, but the real reason is probably because the UIWebView
> instance has not been released.
