I think that that thread is related but more fundamental. The doc doesn't say that lib-file is bb10 only. It gives bb10 as an example. So lib-file should not crash plugman on Android with an unhelpful error message. In fact I needed lib-file on Android.
The thread about these child elements of plugin is still open; but it does not hurt to fix lib-file on Android in the meantime.
