@shazron this patch is not fixing the issue for me, still having the status
bar with wrong size. These are my preferences:
<preference name="StatusBarOverlaysWebView" value="false" />
<preference name="StatusBarBackgroundColor" value="#00000" />
<preference name="StatusBarStyle" value="lightcontent" />
