I've just gone ahead and done this myself, since it wasn't a huge task (and
something I should have done a long time ago).
I notice the text in the platform files is a little different to what I believe
we're supposed to have; specifically there's text at
http://www.apache.org/legal/src-headers.html which mentions the NOTICE file and
the fact there's information there about who actually owns the copyright of the
contributions. If you could use this text, and also add your own copyright
statement to NOTICES.txt, that would be great.
