One of the lessons I've learned from Damien is that to get people involved in a
project, you have to be willing to let work go undone, so new people have a
place to jump in.
That said, implementing this would be a good way to learn hacking on CouchDB,
for anyone with an interest in it.
If you are interested, leave a comment here and we can maybe give you guidance
on how to proceed.
