Jason Davies updated COUCHDB-69:
--------------------------------
Attachment: history_revs.3.patch
Latest patch with support for deleting old revs. My solution is that when
history is turned on, the compactor will only delete old revs if they have
doubled-up delete nodes, which won't occur normally. Doubled-up delete nodes
can be created by deleting old revs and specifing ?forget=true as a query
parameter. These double-up nodes should also get replicated. Would appreciate
a review by someone.

> At the moment, compaction gets rid of all old revisions of a document. Also,
> replication also deals with the latest revision. It would be nice if it would
> be possible to specify a list of revisions to keep around that do not get
> compacted away and replicated.
