Futon character escaping breaks executability of views

Adding a view in Futon is initially executable, but double clicking on the
field again reveals certain non-printable characters have been replaced with
"\u000a\u0009". If the field is saved again, the view can no longer be executed.
This makes it unusable for editing views.
