André Bögge commented on COUCHDB-1405:
--------------------------------------

I just forgot to thank you for your fast reply.

You were right with your assumption. It really seems to be the virtual machine.
Even if the shown time in windows seems to be correctly set, there are some
curious and odd things in system event log with errors regarding the time
synchronisation at this VM. This seems to be a global problem using hyper-v and
time sync. Many thanks!

> I use the utc_random algorithm for generating document ids. So it's possible
> for me to calculate time and date out of the id in my client application.
> After running CouchDB for about a month i got a difference between system
> time and calculated time of id of about half an hour. I restarted the
> database and even then i got a difference about 1 minute.
