I'm concerned that this overlaps with the existing ability to make the
_replicator doc in Futon.
My preference, discussed at the summit, is to change the replicator api so that
you add "persistent":"true much like "continuous":true to _replicate (and
_replicator disappears). With that change, this suggestion fits neatly.
