Jan Lehnardt commented on COUCHDB-906:
--------------------------------------
Heya Chris,
the docs are shipped in Futon and linked to in the side bar in every CouchDB
release from 1.3.0 onwards.
We also link to them from the top navigation bar of the main website. I don’t
think we have links to downloadable docs up anywhere, but if people request
that, we can provide them.
As for who does what: Apache CouchDB has been Apache CouchDB since release 0.8
and will continue to be that way for versions 2.0, 3.0 and onwards. The naming
similarity with the Membase successor Couchbase is coincidental and not
affiliated with Apache CouchDB :)

> I mainly work on the train or in airports without Internet access, so I need
> offline documentation.
> I tried to wget -r the couchdb wiki but I hit some kind of flood protection.
> Apparently MoinMoin can sync between two instances if xmlrpc is enabled. It
> seems to be enabled but broken in the CouchDB wiki.
> Please could you put the wiki pages into hg or git and offer a read-only
> clone or a downloadable tarball of the html versions of the pages?
> Cheers, Chris.
