If Fauxton is exposed thru a non-root path by a reverse proxy, it doesn't work.
For example, we host fauxton at
www.somewhere/admin/futon/10.114.136.18-20000/_utils/fauxton/
... and it attempts to issue a GET from:
www.somewhere/_session
which in our case results in HTTP 401 (unauthorized)
