Had to track this down. 
So the pattern for this is the backbone wrapper pattern.

Not saying we need to use a plugin for tabs or anything.  But modals we get out 
of bootstrap.  Putting a wrapper around them in backbone makes it so there is 
only view to change when we decide to change tools.
