Alexander Shorin commented on COUCHDB-2113:
-------------------------------------------
Well, try the same with list of 100+ databases (: I have about 2 seconds delay
with Chrome between the input and suggestion box show. In this moment I have a
chance to hit the Enter or click on the button which gives me "Database not
found" error. That's the first problem.
The second is that actually I expected to see not small suggestion box, but
real filtering of underlaying databases list. Probably, that's only my own
feelings, but currently the main page with databases list is the only place
where I can see information about the databases: their names, size, update_seq,
quick action buttons (and I also like to see more information there, for
instance COUCHDB-2109 and COUCHDB-2110). Moreover, this is the only place where
I can see this information for multiple databases on the single page and able
to compare it. Without proper filtering of this list, without some basic
sorting features (offtopic, I know) this list is mostly useless if you have to
manage large amount of databases.
That's why I expected to see search box not as "jump to the specific database",
but as "filter databases list by this condition".

> There is database search box on the main page. Actually, it searches database
> only if you enter full and correct name into the field. That's not what user
> expected when it see magnifier symbol on the button. It expects that he'll
> enter {{mail}} and Fauxton will show him the next list:
> - mailbox
> - Mike/mail
> - Mike/mail/spam
