Summary: Creating new user in _users table throws unclear error

When adding a document to the _users table and clicking save, I get the
following error: 'Save failed: doc.type must be user'.
No doubt the doc I created didn't conform to a user spec or something which is
perfectly reasonable - it would be good to provide some more details to the
user when this occurs.
