Regarding the release:
* I didn’t see an announcement (either on the dev list of at
[email protected]). Did I miss it? If not, let’s make an announcement. A
release is a good excuse to generate some publicity, so use it!
* We need a download page, preferably linked from the top of the home page. The
news item on the home page links to
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/release/incubator/crail/
<https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/release/incubator/crail/>, but downloads
should come from a mirror via
http://www.apache.org/dyn/closer.lua?filename=incubator/crail/1.0-incubating/apache-crail-1.0-incubating-src.tar.gz&action=download

(Artifacts must come from a mirror; checksums must not come from a mirror.)

I agree with the project goals listed in the report, but I would add another:
making a second release. It is important that releases are regular,
reproducible, and easy.

I have signed off the report.

Julian
