Going through the validation of this and the 0.8.2 RC, I ran into something that I want to double-check.
I noticed that there are two source distributions: the "default" version, and the hadoop2 version. I'm guessing this is nothing new and I just missed it in the past, but I want to be sure: is this the intention? I thought that we only made two separate binary releases, and a single source release. Related to this, I also saw that the version pointed to by the release tag in git has the 0.x.x-hadoop2 release, which I guess means that there isn't a release tag for the "default" release version. Is that correct, and/or the intention? - Gabriel On Fri, Dec 13, 2013 at 12:43 AM, Josh Wills <[email protected]> wrote: > Hello, > > This is a call for a vote on releasing the following candidate as Apache > Crunch 0.9.0. > > This release contains the following fixes for the following issues and is > the first release of Crunch compiled against Hadoop 2.2.0 and HBase 0.96: > > https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/ReleaseNote.jspa?projectId=12313526&version=12325563 > > Release artifacts: > http://people.apache.org/~jwills/crunch-0.9.0-RC0/ > > Maven staging repo: > https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/orgapachecrunch-049/ > > The tag to be voted upon: > https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf?p=crunch.git;a=tag;h=8ab9e3db5c845d5df13b16396215e7f314e0f4ee > > Crunch's KEYS file: > http://www.apache.org/dist/crunch/KEYS > > Thanks, > Josh
