Jinal Shah commented on CRUNCH-350:
-----------------------------------
Hey Josh, I actually was trying to write the generalized version of it, while
doing so I realized that I was accidently passing a MemTable and DoTable while
joining in the MemPipeline and there were 2 DoTable passed in the MRPipeline.
In that scenario I get the error Saranya was getting. So I went ahead and
confirmed with her and yaah that was the case. I hope that helps in finding out
more about your doubt. I don't know it should throw this exception if both the
tables are of different type. If it should then I think we can check the type
of tables passed before actually trying to join to avoid such exception later.

> Got a notice from the user mailing list that the BloomFilterJoinStrategy was
> throwing a NotSerializableException. I took a look at the code and noticed a
> DoFn field that should be marked as transient.
