My preference would be to have it logged at info level (hence my suggestion to
be able to configure the level that it be logged to). I suggested the default
level be debug because I'm assuming not everyone would want that amount of
content written to the log every time.
Regarding the use case, yes, I would go through the log file, copy the
contents, and create the image out of the contents.
