Hmm - after doing some testing I'm not convinced this is a real bug. I'm able
to reproduce the BLOCKED thread with some forced latches. However, it all has
to do with the connection timeout. Once the connection timeout lapses the
various locks are released. So, there is only an apparent BLOCKED thread. The
various threads are trying to connect to the server. Once that times-out or
fails, it all clears. Can the OP tell us what connection timeout they used and
if the ZK ensemble was in a reachable state?
