I was looking over StandardConnectionHandlingPolicy and, for the life of me, can’t think of a reason for the call to "client.internalBlockUntilConnectedOrTimedOut();” Waiting for a connection interfere’s with the timing in RetryPolicys. Continuing with this thought, there isn’t really a reason for a connection timeout to begin with. The RetryPolicy should be everything.
