Steve Lawrence updated DAFFODIL-598:
------------------------------------
Summary: No validation of short-form DFDL properties (was: No validation
of Short Form or Element Form dfdl properties)
Short-form and attribute-form properties can both be validated with some
changes to our XML Schema for DFDL. Element-form properties must be handled
separately, so splitting this ticket into a property-form specific bug to
handle that: DAFFODIL-2149.

> We had to change the Schema for DFDL Schemas so that it would tolerate
> non-native attributes (in order to fix DFDL-558).
> This means the validator is no longer checking short form property bindings
> for correctness.
> So we need to implement our own code so that every annotated schema component
> inspects any short-form properties on it, and checks that they are valid.
> We can check some things centrally, i.e., is there a prefix bound to the DFDL
> namespace at all?
> Stubs for this are in SchemaComponent.scala in the definition of
> AnnotatedSchemaComponent class.
