This case was on GCP, perhaps it's related to the other clouds.
*Case:*
# SSN is created on GCP
# External endpoint1 is created on GCP
# Project1 is created on external endpoint1
# Project2 is created on external endpoint1
*Steps:*
# Delete Project 1
# Disconnect external endpoint1
As a result edge node status for project1 changes from terminated to failed
