I have an open ticket from June 27th at INFRA-18659 on this topic. And the response from INFRA is:
"Please have a mentor of your project or an IPMC member use the self-serve tool, as PPMCs do not have a chair." In my June 28th message to dev@, and the mentors I also mention this issue (among other issues): "1) Setup and access to JIRA tracking. INFRA-18659. "I need to setup issue tracking for upcoming releases. And apparently I need to do that for each release. So how am I supposed to do that?" Is this required for snapshots also?" ******* We also need help in creating a *temporary* web landing site so that external users going to http://datasketches.apache.org get redirected to http://datasketches.github.io. I have raised this issue with INFRA-18672 and in the above email to dev and the mentors. The response from INFRA on this was: "Hi Lee, welcome. INFRA does not usually get involved in podling website creation. As an incubator LDAP member, you have permissions to create this yourself, and can either add a redirect in the index page, or add a .htaccess file to do the job." However, there is a lot of detail missing here, and I cannot find any reference on how to actually do this. Note that the current Apache documentation points me to set up a website in https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf but this is an SVN repo only. I should point out that Druid is still in incubation and somehow they have figured out how to do everything using git. If you goto https://druid.apache.org it will take you directly to the Druid website. Note that Druid has nothing in https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf and has its website source and generated site in two repositories: https://github.com/apache?utf8=✓&q=incubator-druid.
