Hi all,
Could someone verify this problem? And if possible have a look at the
source code for the odbc driver located in
dba/connectivity/source/drivers/odbc ? Any volunteer is very welcome :-)
Or give an exact description of what is working and what not.
E.g. the table design
may be with odbc log on
Best regards,
Ocke

Hello,
I need to find an easy and fast way to edit a Sybase database (Sybase SQL
Anywhere 5.5.04), including importing and exporting extensive data from
spreadsheets, so I thought that using the OpenOffice.org Base is the proper
way. I easily accessed the database using ODBC driver, but any attempt to
open any table failed (I got a simple error messsage that "The data content
could not be loaded").
Do have anybody experiences with that, did I something wrong or is it needed
to do something extra, is it possiible to do it this way? With the MS Acces
it works, but if I can open the table the OpenOffice then I can load/unload
data between spreadsheets and the tables much easier and faster (and that's
the point!).
Many thanks in advance
Tomas
