at the moment, this effort is stalled. See my comment in the CWS
mdbdriver02, and the issues added to the CWS, plus the code review
attached to issue 55592, for the issues which *at least* have to be
addressed. Once they are, we'd have a driver which we know does not
provide certain important things (update access, for instance), and may
have an unknown number of other issues.

Comparing the effort to bring this in an initially usable shape with
this uncertainity, we decided that this should be stalled for the
moment. This doesn't mean it's not doable, it's just more effort than we
have resources for right now.

As always, if you find a volunteer, or a company paying a developer
because it desperately needs this driver, they will get all the support
from us.
