Yes. It's been quite a while since then, but I've been there, done that.

Yes, it worked for me. Testing was done for a three level form (A -> B
-> C).

I darkly remember there were problems bulding the hierarchy, I think the
best and easiest way to create the nersted forms was using the form
navigater, aka the hierarchical list of controls ihj form design view
for this task.

Select the form at the root and do a left click. Then select "create new
form" or similar. Repeat with the newly created subform until you're
done.

Linking primary key and foreign key works as usual.
