Hello!

I am attempting to integrate the Mac OS X Address Book into OpenOffice.org.
I noticed that the Mozilla Address Book, Thunderbird Address Book, Outlook
Address Book and Outlook Express Address Book are all implemented through
the mozab module (in connectivity/source/drivers/mozab). I noticed the
details of such a strategy here:
http://dba.openoffice.org/specifications/address_book_architecture.html (i.e.,
Outlook and Outlook Express both have wrappers to make them work like
Mozilla/Thunderbird). On the other hand, it looks like the Evolution Address
Book has its own module (in connectivity/source/drivers/evoab).

Is the preference to integrate new address books within the mozab module
unless it is impossible to get them to work with Mozilla's XPCOM system? Or
is there some more complicated strategy of which I'm not aware?

In other words, what is OpenOffice.org's philosophy about where to integrate
new address books (within mozab or as their own module)?

Thank you!
- Omer.
