Not really, currently I'm not digging the tracker often. > If > not - Barbara or Marc, care to submit one? I mean, there should be a > direct way, shouldn't it? I'd do, but I'm not really sure what to write. Since transferring data from writer tables into base does work there is a direct way (sort of). If there would be (is there?) a corresponding help entry that is easily found it would be fine IMHO. If it should be really easy for the average user a step-by-step helper dialog would be nice but a lot of dev work. Filling in values with increment would be a task for another project (writer or calc). Okay, missing first columns on copy and paste would be worth an issue (will test that later on 2.2.x). And more: do you prefer fine granularity for issues (one item per issue, "copying data from writer" here) or do like container type ones holding several related things (importing and exporting from and to base)?
