Later I recognized that even in OOoBase I couldn't change any values...
I then stopped all OOo processes and restarted OOo and then everything
worked fine... :-)

As discribed in the fixed issue 49786 (problem with MySQL)
a resultset.updatestring(number,string) doesn't work with a dBase
database in OOo2.2.1 anymore?
Can you reproduce this as well?
