Uhoh. The tree control API was developed by somebody else, but he
extensively discussed it with me, before finalizing it, in multiple
rounds. So, I fear you have to blame me for API inconsistencies, at
least partly :)

That one is interesting. The UNO tree control is merely a wrapper around
the existing tree control, which is used in other contexts as well, e.g.
in Tools/Options. I suppose you don't have the problem in thos other
places, right? Strange ...

BTW, I suggest you attach a small sample macro to the issue, which
creates such a tree and shows the problem. Reasoning: I, for instance,
find this issue quite strange and thus interesting, and would have spend
some minutes debugging it, but I'm way too lazy to write the macro to
create and popuate the tree ... :)
