Isn't css.ui.doalogs.FilterOptionsDialog the service to call in front of
importing? (Frank?)

If so that could be the first step in loading .csv to base before using
the new shiny UNOized Copy Table Wizard to read the data?

That together with a new menu entry or even better a type detection
entry evaluating if called from base or calc (sound as if it's not
possible) could form a nice import wizard thingy for alien data or at
least files I would name "transport formats" like .csv and .dbf ...
