How describe my problems, may be it is only my fault.
I no see no clear way of SRB and CWS development and integration into
MWS and testing new features in Base+SRB.
Developer develop a CWS test it, if it is good send it to QA if approve
it it will be integrated into a MWS, and tested in it, if somebody find
bugs submit issues. All process can be followed, hard but established
way by early users/testers through issue tracker and eis.
But in SRB development as a extension no such "clear" way. I know that
this is a flexible to work and allow faster development, but hide some
things. CWS with SRB some times require to change code in the main
application, it is clear to me. When this CWS develops, may be old
(issued to stable version) SRB not working with new features, developer
upload to qa ftp site modified version of SRB for testing with this
special version of CSW. (For avoiding using wrong SRB use version check
during installation.)
After integration into MWS, we have two ways if we try to figure out,
what happens, use CWS's SRB to testing MWS, some times it not good
enough, or cause errors, or use older version.
No information can be found which development version of SRB needs to
test development versions, and it hide new features from broader
user/testing community.
It is a possible to attach to any MWS, versions of SRB which allows new
features supported in main code, same way as dictionaries installed with
OOo?
