Remember that this is an X11 application, not an Aqua application, so it will look and behave differently than a native Mac OS X app. For example, text rendering in the OpenOffice word processor (see Figure 5) looks less sharp than in TextEdit, and the OpenOffice file formats are not necessarily compatible with their commercial counterparts. But OpenOffice offers a lot of functionality that makes up for these shortcomings.
