Wre schn. Danke. ----- Begin forwarded message ----- From: Stefan Taxhet <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Wed, 20 Apr 2005 18:38:28 +0200 To: [email protected] Subject: [releases] Where are we on our way to 2.0 Reply-To: [email protected] Hi, Let me ask more directly than I did in the fine print of a message with the wrong subject: What do our users think about 2.0 Beta and subsequent 1.9.x builds? Could someone summarize the feedback from the [EMAIL PROTECTED] list? Do you think the most serious problems are covered in issues? Which area are you working on and would like to see it finished within the 2.0 timeframe? Some open features are still in the queue... 2.0 Beta has been downloaded many times, was covered quite well in the media and has been used by many old and new users. Thanks again to all who made this happen. There are over 600 unconfirmed defects (not to talk about other kinds) we have to review. Release notes list those submitted since 2.0 beta: http://development.openoffice.org/releases/1.9.m93_snapshot.html#mozTocId73177 With 1.9.93 we have seen the Sun contributed localizations for the first time integrated. Other localizations are ongoing and Ivo sent a "call for localization" to the [EMAIL PROTECTED] list. Work for platforms like LinuxPPC, LinuxSPARC, FreeBSD, ... is in progress and Mac OS X is catching up. Given all the new and changed features documentation needs serious work and last not least our promotional material has to be updated for 2.0. A quick summary of highlights/lowlights raised by our users would be great. Together with the proper handling of unconfirmed issues we should have the input for a check of the roadmap. I would guess our roadmap needs an update, or?
