Just FYI: This is just a 'work in progress' patch, I still need to write
some tests to prove the JSON output produced using this way is the same
as for all models. I will try to work this out this week.
Please feel free to comment this patch, if you have any doubts or you
see some minor bugs/incompatibilities or you're missing something in the
JSON output.
