Hi Xavier, Do you still have this issue? I just tried to reproduce it using VSphere 4.x server and I got list of instances back. Are you using 4.x or 5.x? The 'Internal Server Error' means that vSphere failed to respond to some SOAP request, but with no reason (there is no backtrace). Can you please check the VSphere server logs if there is something useful? If not I'll start investigating this issue more deeply :) -- Michal > Hi, > > I've been developing a sysadmin tool that uses deltacloud for some months now. > > Today, apparently out of nowhere, deltacloud has stopped working for me, I go > in the web interface and try clicking "Instances", after authenticating I get > the error: > > 192.168.138.23 - - [20/Nov/2012 13:27:45] "GET /api/instances HTTP/1.1" 500 > 1077349 0.9894 > E, [2012-11-20T13:28:05.759043 #14846] ERROR -- 500: > [Deltacloud::Exceptions::BackendError] Internal Server Error > E, [2012-11-20T13:28:05.778714 #14846] ERROR -- 500: [NoMethodError] > undefined method `join' for nil:NilClass > > /home/neptune/deltacloud_1.0.4/server/lib/deltacloud/collections/../../../views/errors/500.html.haml:25:in > `evaluate_source' > /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/tilt-1.3.3/lib/tilt/template.rb:144:in > `cached_evaluate' > /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/tilt-1.3.3/lib/tilt/template.rb:127:in `evaluate' > /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/tilt-1.3.3/lib/tilt/haml.rb:24:in `evaluate' > /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/tilt-1.3.3/lib/tilt/template.rb:76:in `render' > /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/sinatra-1.3.3/lib/sinatra/base.rb:686:in > `render_without_format' > /home/neptune/deltacloud_1.0.4/server/lib/sinatra/rack_accept.rb:35:in > `render' > /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/sinatra-1.3.3/lib/sinatra/base.rb:582:in `haml' > /home/neptune/deltacloud_1.0.4/server/lib/deltacloud/helpers/deltacloud_helper.rb:115:in > `report_error' > /home/neptune/deltacloud_1.0.4/server/lib/sinatra/rack_accept.rb:99:in `call' > /home/neptune/deltacloud_1.0.4/server/lib/sinatra/rack_accept.rb:99:in > `respond_to' > > > 192.168.138.23 - - [20/Nov/2012 13:28:06] "GET /api/instances HTTP/1.1" 500 > 1077349 0.9013 > > > As far as I know nothing has changed on the deltacloud server or the vsphere > one.
